Roku (ROKU) reported a fourth-quarter (4Q) net income of $23.7 million, or 0.18/per share, down from $67.3 million, or 0.49/per share, in the year-earlier quarter.
Roku revenue increased to $865.3 million from $649.9 million, while Wall Street expected $894 million. Roku (ROKU) created $161.7 million in sales from its player business and $703.6 million from its platform business, which includes advertising and licensing revenues.
Roku users streamed 19.5 billion hours of content during the 4Q, up from 18.0 billion hours in the 3Q. ROKU had 60.1 million active accounts in the 4Q, compared with 56.4 million in the 3Q.
Roku stock is trading 26.92% lower in premarket trading at $105.74.
